Ready For WIP Exhibition!

Yep, this year we’ll be having an exhibition called Work in Progress. Works from 2 projects are going to be showcased there. Quite excited.

Anyway, here’s my works for the exhibition. These are created by yours truly with lino printing; the effect is similar to silk-screen, it’s just… this one is more troublesome lol. I had to carve everything by myself. Yes. Every. Single. Thing.

Thoughts: Andy Warhol

I just finished reading Andy Warhol written by Joseph D Ketner. As the title suggests, it covers both Warhol’s works and life. After a read through, I just need to get some question out of my mind.

Was Warhol famous because of his works or was he famous because of his new findings of painting methods?

From what I read, he’s famous for his pop art movement around the 50s; other than that, most of his works are unknown. So was it the phenomenon of pop art that brought him to fame or was it his skills?

For Warhol’s fan, I asked this question merely out of curiosity, so please correct me if I’m wrong since what I stated was just based of a brief read through a single book, not a deeply thorough research
